Wonderful news and a date for your diaries. The Annual Lesley Hale Charity Concert will be taking place on 1st October 2022, following am enforced delay, due to the pandemic. It seems so long ago now but at last it’s happening and we’re, understandably, really excited about it.
As usual we will be raising funds a local charity; the charity selected this year is the Scots Music Group. The group actively supports and encourages young students to develop the skills and confidence to take their music back into their own communities. Over the years, the organisation has been instrumental in the resurgence of interest in Scottish traditional music, song and dance, both in Edinburgh and further afield. You can find out more by visiting their website (click here)
At this year’s concert you can look forward to such local superstars as The Curries (hot stuff, indeed), The Nittles (Nitten’s own Fab Three), Hoolet, The Hot Club du Nitten and a host of other wonderful acts. A tasty repast will also be provided during the half-time break and this is included in the ticket price of £10.00. A raffle will also take place with a superabundance of amazing prizes for the taking.
Tickets are on sale now, from all of the performers taking part (speak to any committee member and they’ll point you in the right direction) – and they go like hot cakes so make sure you get yours promptly. A wonderful evening is guaranteed and we look forward to seeing you there.
