ANNUAL LESLEY HALE CHARITY CONCERT

Every year we hold a charity concert to raise money for good causes. The concert is named after the great Lesley Hale, a founding member of folk legends Bitter Withy and a much loved member of Nitten Folk Club. Sadly Lesley passed away in 2009 and the annual charity concert has borne her name ever since.

This is always a great night and this year we’re we’re raising funds for the wonderful Marie Curie Hospice. This is in honour of one of our dear friends and long time member, Iain Young, who sadly lost his battle with cancer a few weeks ago. The staff of Marie Curie Hospice did an incredible job of looking after him in his last few difficult months and we, and his widow Anne, wished to say thank you to them by making them the beneficiaries of the monies we raise this year.

All the performers are club members – and what a talented crew they are.  There will also be a raffle (of course) and some delicious food served up during the interval. You can purchase tickets by contacting any member of the committee, or by contacting us by e-mail. There may also be a limited number of tickets available to purchase at the door, on the night, but we recommend you book early – the tickets go like hot cakes and we always have a capacity crowd.
A wonderful evening is guaranteed
